Travis Scott e Kid Cudi, The Scotts: testo e significato della nuova canzone del rapper che si è esibito su Fortnite.

Travis Scott ha presentato il suo nuovo singolo The Scotts in anteprima durante la sua esibizione virtuale all’interno del gioco Fortnite. Nella notte italiana tra 23 e 24 aprile il rapper si è esibito nell’esperienza denominata Astronomical, regalando ai fan anche l’anteprima di questo brano che lo vedere in collaborazione con il collega Kid Cudi.

Il brano è il primo prodotto del nuovo omonimo progetto che Scott e Cudi hanno creato negli ultimi tempi, ed è già volato in testa alle classifiche di ascolto su Spotify sia in Italia che nel mondo.

Prodotto da Daytrip, Dot Da Genius e Plain Plat, con l’aiuto dello stesso Travis e Mike Deans. La copertina del singolo è vinvece stata disegnata da Kaws, un artista che per anni ha collaborato anche con superstar del calibro di Pharrell e Kanye West.

Il primo brano, che segna il debutto dei due rapper in coppia, non affronta un tema specifico, ma mette insieme una serie di cliché e situazioni tipiche dell’immaginario hip hop, il tutto non senza riferimenti proprio al loro esordio. Tra l’altro il nome del brano e del duo, The Scotts, deriva proprio dai nomi dei due artisti: Travis Scott (nome d’arte del rapper texano) e Scott Mescudi (questo il vero nome di Kid Cudi).
