Daisies è il nuovo singolo di Katy Perry. La popstar americana ha rilasciato il suo nuovo brano il 15 maggio, in anticipo di circa due mesi sull’uscita del suo prossimo album, il tanto atteso KP5, di cui ancora non si conosce il titolo.

Del brano, che è stato presentato nelle settimane scorse con parole importanti da parte degli addetti ai lavori, ha voluto parlare la stessa Katy in un post su Instagram, per spiegarne il significato.

Stando alle parole della nota popstar, il brano vuole essere una celebrazione della resistenza dello spirito di fronte alle avversità della vita, ma anche al cinismo di certe situazioni. In altre parole, un richiamo a tutti a rimanere fedeli alla propria strada, senza lasciarsi condizionare dal pensiero altrui, dal giudizio che troppo spesso ha un ruolo importante sulle nostre scelte.

Spiega la Perry: “Ho scritto questo brano un paio di mesi fa come promemoria per restare fedeli al percorso che ci si è prefissati, indipendentemente da quello che gli altri potrebbero pensare. Recentemente ha assunto un nuovo significato per me, alla luce di ciò che tutto il mondo sta vivendo. Ognuno di noi è unico su più di sette miliardi di persone, ognuno con la propria storia di forza e resilienza da raccontare”.

Si tratta dunque di un pezzo pre-Coronavirus, ma che si può adattare anche a quella che è la situazione dell’uomo dopo questa emergenza che ha cambiato le vite di tutti noi.

La popstar americana ancora una volta ha fatto parlare di sé anche per un video piuttosto ‘scandaloso’. La cantante si è mostrata infatti nuda, con tanto di pancione in bellissima vista, facendo chiacchierare non poco le persone più pudiche degli Stati Uniti.
