Agents of SHIELD: Ming-Na Wen omaggia la sua controfigura

La protagonista di Agents of SHIELD, Ming-Na Wen, ringrazia la sua controfigura sul set in un lungo ed emozionato post su Instagram.

La settima e ultima stagione degli Agents of SHIELD andrà in onda il prossimo anno ma la serie ha già terminato la produzione. Da quando lo spettacolo si è concluso per il cast, molti attori hanno reso omaggio l’uno all’altro e ai vari membri della troupe sui social media. L’ultimo post di Instagram di Ming-Na Wen, che interpreta l’agente Melinda May nello show, è un messaggio di ringraziamento commovente per la sua controfigura, Ming Qiu. Wen ha spiegato che lavorare a stretto contatto con Qiu, che lei descrive come una “cara amica”, le ha dato un maggiore apprezzamento per tutti i membri dell’Unità d’Azione.

FLASHBACK FRIDAY: This photo was taken on the last day of shooting @agentsofshield at Culver Studios. I had these tshirts made as one of my wrap gifts for this incredible woman and dear friend, my extraordinarily stunt double, Ming Qiu! 💪👊👏🥰Yes, she’s also named MING!! When someone yells for Ming on set, it can get confusing. Hence, Ming 1 and Ming 2!😁 😃😃For all 7 seasons of @agentsofshield, she’s been my mentor, trainer, protector and cheerleader. She has the biggest heart and the kindest soul. A loving mom and wife, who just happens to be a Wushu master. 🥰🥰 •••••••••••••••••• I am so lucky to have had Ming 2 for my stunt double all these years. She is always there to make sure I do my best work. Let me tell ya, she is NOT easy to please. Whenever I ask her how I did after a fight scene, she will say,”It’s ok,” if I didn’t excel to her standards. So I will do the fight scene until I get a smile and a thumbs up from her! 😁👍 This means she approves. I FEEL SO HAPPY when she gives me the thumbs up!! 👍👏👏👏👏Agent May looks EXTRA badass because this woman warrior helped me to shape her into “The Cavalry.” I love my beautiful, amazing Ming Qui!! Stunt people, cameramen, pyrotechnics, etc. It does take a village of super talented individuals to bring all those action scenes to life. We do it all for YOU, our fans.❤️😘

Una costante per Ming-Na Wen sul set

“Per tutte le 7 stagioni di di Agents of SHIELD, è stata la mia mentore, allenatrice, protettrice e cheerleader. Ha il cuore più grande e l’anima più gentile. Una mamma e moglie amorevole, che è anche un maestro di Wushu. Sono così fortunata di aver avuto Ming 2 per i miei stunt in tutti questi anni. Lei è sempre lì per assicurarsi che io faccia il mio lavoro migliore. Lasciate che vi dica, lei non è facile da accontentare. Ogni volta che le chiedo come ho fatto dopo una scena di lotta, lei dirà, ‘Va bene’, se non ho superato eccellentemente i suoi standard. Così farò la scena di combattimento fino a quando non avrò un sorriso e un pollice su da lei! Questo significa che lei approva. Mi sento così felice quando mi dà i pollici in su!”

Oltre a Agents of SHIELD, è stato rivelato che la Wen apparirà anche nel nuovo spettacolo Comedy Central di Awkwafina, Nora From Queens. Ming Na Wen sarà infine nel cast di Star Wars: The Mandalorian, il primo grande spettacolo in arrivo su Disney+.
